Happy Mother's Day

I've had a great weekend. Saturday morning Craig and I went to kickboxing and then went to the market to get some plants for my little garden.

Craig planted everything while I read a book!

Last night Craig, Elizabeth and I went to see the movie Date Night. It was really funny and it was nice seeing it together as a family.

Then, this morning Elizabeth gave me the gift she got for me. A float for the pool and a beach bag. She was with me earlier in the week when I saw the float and road it around in the buggy before finally deciding I really didn't need it. It was a nice surprise to open the beach bag and find a gift I truly wanted and will use. Thanks!

Grimes Cupcakes

I love to decorate cupcakes and this is one I did for the wedding rehearsal dinner for my friend Glenette's son the first weekend in April.
I embossed the black background with a swirly design and then topped it with a cream disk embossed with the letter 'G' for Grimes.
They were served on a white plate with a huge long-stemmed strawberry, a drizzle of dark chocolate syrup and a dollop of whip cream. Very elegant!

My Baby is a College Sophomore

Exams are over and Elizabeth has completed her Freshman year at Carolina......she is now a Sophomore!

Airport High School Prom 2010

WOW! I attended the prom, 30 years after graduating from high school. Craig and I double-dated with Myia and Leland. Myia is the student I have been shadowing for the past 6 years and Leland is a nice young man from our ward who stepped up at the last minute when Myia's original date fell through.

Lots of yummy food and very entertaining!

Because we had not planned ahead for Leland to attend the prom it was impossible to get a tux for him, yet he's wearing one....... he's wearing the tux Craig wore almost 23 years ago at our wedding!
